Given the numbers that “Deadpool” garnered at the box office, there were no doubts that the makers would like to churn out “Deadpool 2” soon.
However, as noted by CinemaBlend, Ryan Reynolds wasn’t bound by any contract to reprise his role in the second installment. But there was negligible doubt that Reynolds would come back to adorn the popular superhero costume. And now it has confirmed that the star has indeed signed on the dotted line and would be a part of the second installment. It is also known that given the success of the first installment, the actor onboard could well be renegotiating his numbers for when it comes to “Deadpool 2.”
When talking about the budget, fans may recollect that director Tim Miller, in an interview with Comicbook.com, recently made comments on how he would like the second installment to progress. He shared, “I don’t think bigger is better. You tell a story that’s organic to the character. Deadpool’s world doesn’t mean you have to go bigger. I don’t think the fans of the movie like it because we had big effects.”
The movie is expected to go on floors sometime in fall this year. Reportedly, 20th Century Fox zeroed in on two release dates for its upcoming superhero movies and it is being speculated that “Deadpool 2” could hit theaters on Jan. 12, 2018. That would give the sequel enough time, given that it isn’t like the other larger-than-life superhero movies. Furthermore, like the first one, the sequel probably wouldn’t take longer during post-production.
Whispers surrounding the movie’s plot have already begun to do the rounds, and movie-buffs are expecting to witness Cable become a part of the sequel. And with the two together, who knows “Deadpool 2” could probably be the next “X-Force” movie. Let’s wait and watch as more concrete details arrive over the course of time.
