DC Universe Online was launched on Friday, and it is not surprising that it has an enormous amount of players wanting to get into the free queue.
Since the launch of DC Universe Online on the Xbox One, it is standard for any MMORPG as interested players would want to give it a try. However, the Daybreak Game knows the situation very well and it is working hard to address the issue.
Over 8,000 players were filled up quickly and are waiting to get in the free queue since the launch of DC Universe Online on Friday. The subscriber queue began expanding after Daybreak let the free players into the queue the first time. This has resulted into a long queue of free players. However, now almost 10, 000 players are in the queue and the wait time has reached to almost two hours, notes Attack Of The Fanboy.
Since early Sunday morning, servers for Xbox One were taking offline to carry out hardware upgrade and increase capacity, but it’s not enough yet. Moreover, Daybreak is planning to expand the capacity per post through DC Universe Online forums.
Xbox One servers will be offering extended downtime tomorrow morning for both the US and the UK. This would start during the regular daily restart window of 4 a.m. PT and 4 a.m. CET. For about two hours of extended usual restart time will be offered while users add additional hardware, which will boost their in general population capacity on both servers.
They still expect free players to queue during prime time even after this augmentation. They are still working on getting additional hardware to further expand capacity. Players will have to wait with patience and continue participating in the Xbox One Launch.
