New Dallas Maverick Andrew Bogut earned positive endorsements from well-known teammate.

Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki has high praises for Bogut, declaring that the Aussie veteran is going to be a great player for the team in 2016-2017. He believes that having Bogut with them is going to give the Dallas Mavericks the experience they need.

Nowitzki believes that Bogut’s championship experience is going to make the Mavericks real contenders for the NBA 2016-2017 title once again. According to Yahoo! Sports, the team’s last championship title was in 2011. They got eliminated in the initial round of the playoffs in the past couple of years following a brief post-season absence.

Once the number one draft pick, Andrew Bogut played with the Warriors in the last four seasons of the NBA, bagging the Championship title in 2015. Throughout his 11-years with the NBA, his average stats are 10.3 points, 2.3 assists, and 8.9 rebounds.

He joined the Mavericks in July and this came out after the Golden State Warriors had to release some players in order to accommodate Kevin Durant.  Durant thus moved to Golden State and Bogut to Dallas together with fellow team-mate Harrison Barnes.

Nowitzki believes the team came out as big winners because Durant decided to play for the Warriors, and the Mavericks acquired Bogut and Barnes in return. He said that because the two are part of a championship team, they know how to play and how to win, and they are great players.

Nowitzki for his part is staying with Dallas in the next two-years after signing a new contract with the team in late July. “Playing with Bogut is going to be fun,” says Norwitzki.

Will the new Dallas Mavericks tandem of Andrew Bogut and Dirk Nowitzki be unstoppable? Are the Mavericks indeed going to win their next NBA Championship in the upcoming season with this new tandem on board?
