‘Criminal Minds’ Season 11 Cast ‘Parks and Recreation’ Star as Psychopath

Fans have been rooting for years for the boy genius of “Criminal Minds” to find a woman at his level who would deserve his attention.

However, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) seems to repel any good luck with women and now, reports suggest that he may have stumbled upon another twisted situation.

TVLine exclusively reports that “Parks and Recreation” star Aubrey Plaza will be stopping by the season’s 11th episode to have a date with Reid–but it would not be a sweet dining experience.

According to the website, Plaza will star as Cat Adams who challenges Reid to save himself and other people at the restaurant.

CarterMatt further relays that Plaza’s character will match Reid’s wits and taunt him that she knows he is an agent from the FBI.

The website points out that this a fresh role for Plaza since most of her previous projects had her cynical yet good-hearted.

Enstars also adds that her upcoming role in the CBS procedural would be different since she will be out of her usual comedic element.

TVLine lists Plaza’s other TV credits which include voice work for “Castle”, “Golan the Insatiable”, “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever”, “The Legend of Korra” as well as an appearance on “Welcome to Sweden”.

The episode starring Aubrey Plaza is scheduled to air on January 13, when “Criminal Minds” Season 11 comes back on air from its holiday break.

Meanwhile, before the series takes a brief hiatus, two more episodes are slated to air on December 2 and 9 titled “Internal Affairs” and “Future Perfect”, respectively.

Buddy TV provides a brief synopsis of the upcoming ninth episode. The website can be quoted in saying:

“In this episode, two undercover DEA agents are murdered and a third is missing. The BAU joins the NSA to investigate whether an underground Internet drug syndicate is involved. Hotch hopes that their work with the NSA will bring them closer to finding the Dirty Dozen hitmen ring.”

“Criminal Minds” airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. on CBS while the “Criminal Minds” spin-off “Beyond Borders” will premiere on March 2, 2016.
