Sevilla will host the first-leg of the Copa Del Rey Cup semi-final as they welcome Celta Vigo at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on Thursday, Feb. 4, starting 8:30 PM local time.
As per the Sofascore, Celta Vigo have managed to stun Atletico Madrid and reach the Cup finals. They now face Nevilla in what is being regarded as a “heated encounter”. Unai Emery’s Sevilla haven’t lost a match in a month now and would like to continue their good run in their own backyard.
Grzegorz Krychowiak is a big blow ahead of the first-leg encounter against Celta Vigo. He has been struggling with a knee problem lately. Timothee Kolodziejczak and Daniel Carrico will form the centre-back as Sebastian Cristoforo will partner with Steven N’Zonzi in the mid-field.
According to the Goal, Celta Vigo will be without their Talisman Nolito, a potential target for Barcelona in the mid-season transfer window.
“He has better and worse days,” Celta coach Eduardo Berizzo said. “I do not want to force a situation that can cause a relapse.
“Every time he comes into contact with the ball he feels discomfort. For this, I want to build up a lot more training time before he plays a game.”
Sevilla coach Unai Emery still thinks that Celta is strong enough to pose a threat even without their star player.
“With no Nolito they won 3-2 at the Calderon, making a great game,” he told a news conference.
“They are a great team with great players.
“The goal is to win without conceding a goal but Celta are used to scoring goals and have scored a number of important goals away from home.”
