Cadiz will welcome Celta Vigo on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Estadio Ramon de Carranza Stadium in Cadiz starting at 7.30 PM GMT. Both teams are all set to feature in their Copa Del Rey campaign.

As per the All Sports News reports, the respective teams will take the battle against each other to push for a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Cadiz have benefited hugely from Real Madrid’s expulsion from the competition following their fielding “of an ineligible player”. Though considered to be one of the lower tier teams, Cadiz have been pretty impressive with their form off-late.

The reports suggest that Cadiz had a pretty good domestic season so far and have managed to gain with 35 points from 19 games in Segunda B leaving them fourth in the table.

The All Sports News quotes, “Manager Claudio Barragan is likely to turn to lead striker Daniel Guiza in attack this week, with the Spaniard scoring five times this season already.”

The visiting team, Celta Vigo, did impress with their form earlier in the competition but two back-to-back defeats against Malaga and Athletic Bilbao in La Liga have affected their confidence. The odds are in Vigo’s favor but Cadiz, with home support, will be challenging.

According to the Football News, Celta Vigo are expected to make it to the knock-out stages of the competition.

The Copa Del Rey fixture is taking shape. Barcelona registered a thumping victory, yesterday, against Espanyol as they pumped four goals to bury Espanyol at Camp Nou. Lionel Messi featured in the goal list to mark his presence. The visiting team did manage to score a goal but was pointless amidst Barca glory.
