Celta Vigo will play Sevilla on their home turf at the Estadio Balaidos in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey Semi-final on Thursday, Feb. 11, starting 8:30 pm local time.
The odds are against the home team making through to the finals of the Copa Del Rey with a four-goal deficit already to their name. It is highly unlikely that the backing of a home crowd will turn that margin into winning score especially when Sevilla are playing such good football.
As per the All Sports News reports Sevilla coach Unai Emery might rest some players and rotate a few to see what combination fits the side when they, likely, go to the finals of Copa Del Rey. Adil Rami and Ever Banega showed some excellent set of skills in the first leg which put them past the winning line.
According to Vavel, Celta Vigo underestimated the home side at the Estadion Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. The home support did Sevilla a world of good as they thumped the visiting Vigo 4-0 crushing any hopes of making through to the final stages of the tournament.
Barcelona are most likely to make it through to the Cup final.
Celta Vigo will be without their Talisman Nolito, a potential target for Barcelona in the mid-season transfer window.
“He has better and worse days,” Celta coach Eduardo Berizzo said. “I do not want to force a situation that can cause a relapse.
“Every time he comes into contact with the ball he feels discomfort. For this, I want to build up a lot more training time before he plays a game.”
Emery thinks that Celta is still a threat and might pose challenges in their own backyard.
