The “Conjuring 2” trailer is out and it promises yet another bone-chilling experience for fans who absolutely loved being scared to death, in the first installment.
The trailer shows that this time around, Ed and Lorraine Warren are headed to help a single mother and her daughters in North London, who are deeply troubled by an unseen spirit. Adding to the fright is the fact that the second installment is also inspired by real-life events. “Conjuring 2” as noted by Korea Portal, “It is one of the Warrens’ most famous investigations, and has been adapted previously by filmmakers; most recently with last year’s TV miniseries, “The Endfield Haunting.””
As noted by Geek, Warrens will land on the scene as he was investigating the Enfield Poltergeist. However, the “quick flashes of poltergeist havoc” will give fans an idea of what scare awaits them in the coming few months. The supernatural occurrence that inspired the events in the movie, took place during the period of 1977 and 1979. It happened in Brimsdown, Enfield, England and is said to be about two girls in the family.
According to report, when the real-life incidents were taking place, the word spread fast. As per report, “there were moving chairs, a demonic voice, and supposedly levitation of the children.” However, a quick Google search only indicates that it could have well been a prank played by the two girls to garner attention. The hauntings have been amped-up in the movie and may just deliver the scariest experience ever for horror-movie fans.
The sequel will witness Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, the husband-wife duo who happen to be paranormal investigators. Other cast members include Javier Botet, Simon McBurney, Frances O’Connor and Lauren Esposito.
“Conjuring 2” is expected to hit theaters on June 10, 2016.
