Code Black Season 2 spoilers reveal a new character that has some connection to the “Harry Potter” franchise, placing Emma Watson at the center of the rumors.

However, TVLine was the first to admit that the connection was very flimsy, and only based on the casting call for the new character. The new addition to the cast is named Charlotte Piel and she’s supposedly an ex-child star of a very famous movie franchise, or as the description puts it, “think Hermione Granger in Harry Potter.”

The mere mention of Ms. Granger was enough to incite talks that Emma Watson is joining the series.

Nevertheless, the child star has now grown up and passed medical school. Now, she’s a resident doctor at the Angels Memorial, but the fame of being a child star follows her around, and her colleagues are having a hard time taking her seriously.

Previous Code Black Season 2 spoilers reveal that two major characters will not be returning to the series for the sophomore run. Bonnie Somerville and Raza Jaffrey have been axed from the show, but Boris Kodjoe and Jillian Murray were named as regulars.

“The move is part of a creative decision by producers to help relaunch the Marcia Gay Harden medical drama to reach a broader audience for what is said to be a 17-episode sophomore season,” said The Hollywood Reporter.

Showrunner Michael Seitzman said that the decision to part ways with Somerville and Jaffrey was no mean feat. While he didn’t exactly gave the reason, he acknowledged that “decisions like this aren’t easy and are very complex.”

He also said that he has some storylines in place for both Murray and Kodjoe for Code Black Season 2, which would turn the tide of fans’ reactions in their favor.

It’s not clear how many episodes Code Black Season 2 is going to have as the reports range from 17 to 22. The premiere date is reportedly going to be this fall, possibly in September. There should be plenty of spoilers for the series before then, including who will play Charlotte Piel.
