Is My Chemical Romance reunion happening soon? The band, which broke up in 2013, woke up fans with their newly-updated social media accounts. Likewise, the group also posted a cryptic video which played the familiar piano tunes of their famous song, Welcome to the Black Parade. Did the band confirm they’re finally back?
The group marked the 3rd year of their break-up last March 2016. And so far, Gerard, Frank, Mikey and Ray had time on their own. Of course, most of them released their own albums too. Whenever they sort of had a mini reunion, fans can’t help but wonder what went wrong in the group.
Rock Sound compiled what the each band member had accomplished since 2013. In 2014, Frank Iero confirmed his solo career. Frank released his own album entitled Stomachaches. Gerard Way, on the other hand, dropped his own album called Hesitant Alien. While Ray Toro released some songs, Mikey had a tough situation as he went to rehab.
“When the band broke up, my using had intensified and I fell into total darkness. In the true form of an addict, I disconnected from everyone I knew and pushed away every one I loved,” Mikey wrote. Read the full text of his open letter here.
When Gerard and Mikey reunited on stage, the audience and (of course) the Internet “went mad,” Rock Sound noted. The two performed Gerard’s unreleased song titled Don’t Try at Tokyo, Japan.
Going back, did the cryptic video confirmed My Chemical Romance Reunion? Well, we have yet to wait for further updates. However, said video featured the date September 23, 2016. This has to do something with a re-release of The Black Parade album, Loud Wire reported. Will they add unreleased tracks too?
