The man in blue, Diego Costa, could possibly make his way to the French Champions’ team in the summer trade ahead. Paris Saint-Germain are leaving no stones unturned for their summer raid ahead as they look forward to sign the Chelsea Striker in a multi-millionaire dollar deal.
According to the Metro UK reports, “The Ligue 1 giants are in desperate need of a new striker this summer and Costa is at the top of their shortlist.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract is coming to an end as he looks forward to leaving the club. His fate still remains uncertain under manager Laurent Blanc. Edinson Cavani seems “unsettled” under Blanc’s watch, as per the sources.
The Express UK reports that the Spaniard, Costa, will favour a move to his former club Aletico de Madrid but the French club remains certain about Costa taking the deal.
The Metro UK quotes in their article, “If Chelsea were to miss out on Champions League football, it would be no surprise to see some of their top players leave and with Antonio Conte set to put his own stamp on the squad, Costa could well be sacrificed.”
As per the goal.com, Guus Hiddink’s team will be looking to seal quarter-final berth after their loss to PSG at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have been through rough patches lately with sporadic wins under the belt. The coach wants Costa to remain focused on his form rather than pay heed to all the transfer rumours.
Speculations are ripe that Costa might leave should the club not qualify for the Champions League. Reports believe that PSG have the resources to sign the Chelsea star as they are offering a mammoth $76.75m (£40m) deal.
It would be interesting to see how PSG approaches the deal with Diego Costa and counter any proposals coming from Atletico Madrid. Stay tuned for all the updates on the transfer news.
