Champions League: Barcelona vs Bayer Leverkusen Live Stream, Preview & TV Schedule

Barcelona will travel to Leverkusen for their final match of the group stage in this season’s Champions League on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at BayArena. The match starts at 8:45 PM local time and 7:45 PM GMT.

Barcelona are currently placed on top of their Group E Table.  They have 13-points from the last five games. With four wins and one draw to their name, Barcelona start as clear favorites given their recent form. Bayer Leverkusen will bank on their home advantage as they are currently placed at number three in the group.

According to the official FC Barcelona site, Luis Enrique has already name his 19-member squad who will travel to Leverkusen. The squad includes, Ter Stegen, Bravo, Masip, Rakitic, Sergio, Suárez, Messi, Neymar Jr, Mascherano, Bartra, Munir, Jordi Alba, Sandro, Adriano, Vermaelen, Samper, Gumbau, Cámara and Kaptoum.

As per the official reports, Gerard Piqué and Andrés Iniesta will stay behind in Barcelona while they rest, Dani Alves misses out due to suspension and Mathieu, Sergi Roberto, Douglas and Rafinha are all out due to injury.

Lionel Messi is fit to play in the upcoming clash. The 28-year-old Argentinian has played four games since his come back, notes BBC.

For Leverkusen, it is one of the do-or-die matches. They need to  beat Barcelona on their home turf and hope that Roma do not win at home against BATE Borisov, if they want to finish second in their group.

“We’ll need to take all of the few chances which come our way against Barcelona,” said Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak.

Its a tough ask for the German side as Barcelona look to be in prime form and retain the number one position with a win in Germany.
