New game modes and eSports features of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” were unveiled at Gamescom 2015 this week.
According to Cinema Blend, developer Treyarch promised PC users of several enhancements when the game launches three months from now.
“There’s no doubt that this is the most significant change to how Call of Duty eSports will be played over the coming years,” Treyarch Studio Director David Vonderhaar said.
“Black Ops 3’s” main eSports features are the “Specialist Draft” and the “Ban and Protect” systems, which look like those in successful pro games “League of Legends” and “DOTA 2”, Engadget said.
The PC version will feature 100 percent ranked dedicated servers and two-player split screen functionality, according to Cinema Blend.
“BO3” will also have seamless game controller support, strong GPU scaling, SLI and crossfire optimizations, and 4K monitor support to make the game look and run great at full 4K resolution, Treyarch wrote in its website.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” also features enhanced Treyarch Anti-Cheat technology to determine and punish game cheaters and will also offer new set of Steam Trading Cards.
Treyarch also listed down the minimum system requirements to play “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3”. This include:

- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Meanwhile, Treyarch and Activision also confirmed that competitive “Call of Duty” has switched to PlayStation 4 from Xbox One.
“The time was right for us to partner up with Sony,” Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg told IGN.
“When a first party is really excited and gets behind your games it makes a really big difference. [Sony] did a great job with Destiny and helped launch that and make it successful,” he added.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3″ kicks off on several game platforms on Nov. 6.
