Caitlyn Jenner is supposed to appear on a summer cover of Sports Illustrated wearing only an American flag and her Olympic medal.
The “I Am Cait” star delivered a world decathlon record at the 1976 Montreal Summer Games. She’ll be posing nude with her gold medal for the first time after her sexual transition.
This whole fiasco is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her win. According to a source, she’s excited about the nude cover photo.
Jenner said recently that she had stored her “most prized possession” at the bottom of her makeup drawer.
“I never wanted my kids to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success,” she said.
Jenner is the father of Kylie, Kendall, Brody, Brandon, Casey and Burt, says US Magazine.
“I didn’t want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, so I haven’t displayed my medal.”
The news was supposedly leaked by this “source.” However, the relation of the source to the claim was mysteriously missing, along with any valid sources.
It wasn’t confirmed whether the insider was a Kardashian-Jenner contact, someone inside Sports Illustrated, or just a random person.
The 66-year-old star made no comment on the rumor on her infrequently used Twitter account.
Sports Illustrated is known for doing photo spreads that are little more overt than the average bikini, says Snopes.
The gold medalist disclosed her new name and identity on the July 2015 cover of Vanity Fair. Since those days she has been advocated for equality across the LGBTQ community.
“I’m very proud of this,” the reality star said, while talking about her medal.
“That was a great time in my life. But to be honest with you, it’s even a greater time in my life right now with what I’m trying to accomplish.”
Her ex-wife Kris showed up topless with a medal during a 2007 photo shoot on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
