It was a different Britney Spears and a “very different” new album coming up soon.
Spears teased her ninth studio album and said it is going to be a “very different” from the ones she did before.
“Honestly, I’m just particular with this record. It’s my baby, and so I really want it done right. I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point. But I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time,” Spears told V Magazine.
“I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all. But I’m not rushing anything. I just want it to be done right, so that my fans will truly appreciate it,” the “Toxic” singer added.
Spears’ last studio album, “Britney Jean,” was released more than two years ago. The album was her least commercially successful one, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S, Entertainment Tonight noted. The “…Baby One More Time” hitmaker then teamed up with Iggy Azalea on the single, “Pretty Girls.” The single released last spring, however, a full-length release of the song never followed.
Just last week, Spears stunned fans when she flaunted her body in some seriously sexy video snippets of her sultry 2003 song, “Breathe on Me.”
Spears also appeared as herself and as Rogelio’s “nemesis” in season two of CW’s hit “Jane the Virgin” last year. It was also rumoured that she will have a guest appearance in “Orange is the New Black” season four.
Meanwhile, Spears will grace the V Magazine’s 100th issue cover, which will be out on newsstands on March 8. The 34-year-old singer shows off her new look in three stunning covers of the magazine, which also features a shirtless male model.
