Brisbane fire at a car junkyard has caused thick smoke across city’s southern suburbs, where firefighters are busy trying to put out a commercial fire in Rocklea. Many scrap cars caught the fire at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to Brisbane Times, firefighters had to force their way through a fence to reach the blaze. The fire is so huge that the black smoke can be seen by many residents from their homes. More fire fighting crews are also on their way to control the blaze.

The fire has broken out at Dollis St, Rocklea. At this point of time, the cause of blaze is unknow. Paramedics are also on the scene but no injuries have been reported so far, Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman told media agencies.

Update: According to Queensland Fire Officials Brisbane fire is now under control.
