“The Voice” stars and real-life lovers Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sing together for the first time the song titled “Go Ahead and Break My heart” on the show’s May 9 episode. But the song is allegedly dedicated to their exes.

The song is included on Shelton’s upcoming album “If I’m Honest,” which will be out on May 20, notes Reality TV World. Stefani helped her boyfriend in co-writing the single.

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written or recorded,” the country crooner stated. “It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning our journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other.”

“The song couldn’t possibly be more honest. I’m honored to have written and to perform this song with the great Gwen Stefani. Respect,” Shelton continued. He also said that working with hs girlfriend is quite remarkable.

Meanwhile, the pair has not confirmed the rumour about the song being dedicated to their exes.

The couple met during “The Voice” Season 9, where Stefani temporarily replaced Christina Aguilera on the judge’s seat. She and Shelton developed a mutual feeling while both were facing divorce against their former spouses.

So far, it has also been rumoured earlier that Stefani will be featured on Blake Shelton’s upcoming album. For that, Mail Online believes that it is a natural thing to do.

Amidst their strong relationship and good bond are the hearsays that he is ready to propose to the No Doubt singer. More than that, they are also intrigued by being secretly married and trying to have their own baby but the couple remains silent.

“With Gwen, Blake has the family life he’d hoped to have with Miranda,” a source told Us Weekly. “Her kids love him as much as she does.” “Blake could propose to Gwen very soon. Gwen is everything he wants,” the source continued. “Blake wants kids of his own. And Gwen is willing to try!”
