The Blacklist season 4 premiere date is approaching fast. In the meantime, here are some new spoilers for what viewers can expect in the upcoming installment. Rumors hint on the feud between Red and Kirk is going to intensify in The Blacklist season 4. Let us learn things in details.

In The Blacklist season 3, we saw chaos. The season ended leaving fans to ponder at many cliff-hanger moments. For example, the drama revealed that Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) faked her death. She agreed to the conspiracy set up by Kirk and Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert).  She just wanted to learn as much as she could about her mother, the Russian agent named Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek).

Liz was frustrated that Red (James Spader) has been keeping secrets from her.

Simultaneously, Red was also hurt that Liz would resort to lying. Even then, the old man would not be able to turn his back on her, said executive producer Jon Bokenkamp. Earlier, Bokenkamp also conveyed that there is no chance that Red would abandon Liz.

The Blacklist season 4 will highlight her continued association with Kirk, who claimed to be her long-lost father.

Since Red and Kirk are rivals, Liz’s developing closeness with the latter might intensify the tension between them. Why did Liz choose to be on Kirk’s side?  Red has been secretive about her mother and to find out the truth, she had no other option than joining hands with Kirk.

The mystery of Liz’s mother is still unsolved. Previously, Red told Liz he witnessed Rostova walked towards the sea to end her life. On the contrary, there have been instances when the Russian agent was teased to still be alive. Bokenkamp recently stated that Verbeek would reprise her role in The Blacklist season 4.

“In the first two seasons, we used pictures and a few fragments of memory, but Lotte brought Katarina to life in ‘Cape May.’ The fan response to that character has been great. The episode itself was a departure, but we’ve found some really interesting story opportunities as a result,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

If spoilers are to be believed, then we can expect more of Red and Kirk tension in the upcoming chapter. Will things take a nasty shape with the arrival of agent Katarina Rostova?  Is Liz going to realize the real intentions of Kirk who is just trying to use her as a pawn to beat Red?

Tune in to find out the answers. The Blacklist season 4 returns Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
