Good news Big Bang Theory fans! The Big Bang Theory Season 10 will not be the last for the hit comedy show.

A CBS executive has offered hope to the show’s loyalists that it will be renewed for next season.

CBS boss Glenn Geller expressed confidence that the show will go beyond Season 10. “We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year 10, and I know Warner Bros. will make those deals,” he told reporters at the recent 2016 TCA Summer Press Tour.

Geller added they will continue to air the series as long as everyone wants it on air. The CBS boss said they already have a date on when the network will make the announcement about the show’s future. The Big Bang Theory is one of the longest-running comedy TV series. NBC’s Friends ended after 10 seasons while Seinfeld concluded after nine. The Big Bang Theory is expected to outlast both.

In 2014, the Big Bang Theory was renewed for three years. Three of its lead stars also signed new deals at the time. Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki each inked $1 million per episode deals with the network. Parsons, Cuoco and Galecki’s contracts will expire in May 2017.

Meanwhile, more big stars are joining the Emmy award-winning comedy series.

Breaking Bad star Dean Norris will appear in Big Bang Theory Season 10 in a recurring role. He will play Captain Williams, an intimidating Air Force officer. Williams will be interested in acquiring Howard (Simon Helberg) and Leonard’s (Galecki) quantum gyroscope for military purposes.

It will be fun to see if the Caltech scientists will give in to Williams’ intimidating tactics. Norris has been known to portray DEA agent Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston) brother-in-law Hank Schrader in the AMC series Breaking Bad. He was last seen playing Big Jim Rennie in CBS’ Under the Dome for three seasons.

The Walking Dead actress Kate Sagal was earlier confirmed to join the cast of the Big Bang Theory Season 10. Sagal will be playing Penny’s (Cuoco) mother while 30 Rock star Jack McBrayer will portray her brother Randall.
