Rumors about Beyonce and her husband Jay Z collaborating on a joint album first surfaced last year. Though the couple has been mum about it, one songwriter confirmed the news recently.
Songwriter Glass John confirmed the rumors via Twitter on Dec. 28, reports Ace Showbiz. Aside from allegedly ranting about Rihanna’s “Anti” album delay, Glass John also revealed that he has been working with Bey and Jay Z.
Aside from the latest tweet, producer detail also stated that a collaboration is currently underway. More than that, DJ Skee said as well that the upcoming new material will be released exclusively via Tidal.
More information about the couple’s new effort haven’t been revealed yet, but it has been expected that the joint album will be released in 2016.
The latest news seems to confirm that the power duo is still “Drunk in Love,” despite of the controversial divorce rumors that they have been facing since the year started.
However, in an apparent revelation, sources close to the couple unveiled that Beyonce and Jay Z only “smelled the brand” first, before actually falling in love.
Hollywood biographer J Randy Taraborrelli “lifts the lid” on one of today’s most powerful and influential couple, through his new book entitled “Becoming Beyonce.”
“I was told he ‘smelled the brand’ in a union with Queen Bey – and she did too,” quotes Mirror.
“The way I saw it, it was more calculated than romantic. He was thinking about his brand as much as his heart. He can smell opportunity,” Jay Z’s mentor Jaz O added.
While the two went on to officially date each other, the source said that Bey and Jay Z finally felt the spark, and the sensational singer began to feel attracted to the rapper.
“From my vantage point, the love between them grew out of respect for him,” Beyonce’s make up artist Billy B. revealed.
