The “Better Call Saul” Season 3’s recent premiere updates revealed that Saul Goodman would go worse than in the prequel. In fact, they called the next season “Breaking Bad.”

According to Christian Times, the recent Writers Guild Foundation event at the Beverly Hills WGA Theater shared how they labored over the plot so the audience would recognize the difference between the prequel and the upcoming “Better Call Saul” Season 3 in 2017.

Peter Gould, executive producer and co-creator of the American series, said that he even envisioned “Better Call Saul” Season 3 as a “M-A-S-H-like” comedy.

Gennifer Hutchinson pointed out that Jimmy McGill’s character, played by Bob Odenkirk, would play a great role in the coming series.

In addition to what she said, the entire team thought of having “Better Call Saul” as “Breaking Bad”’s new show name because of Jimmy’s big character impact on the show.

She said, “We started breaking it like a ‘Breaking Bad’ episode, but then we found that ‘Better Call Saul’ goes faster than ‘Breaking Bad.’ I think we discovered a lot with Jimmy and how Bob plays Jimmy.”

“Better Call Saul” TV show executive producer, Tom Schnauz, mentioned, “They have a lot of handheld so we encouraged our directors to stay away from that and do more locked-off, off-centre shots, more unique framing.”

“We also talked about never doing shots from inside of things because that was so ‘Breaking Bad,’ but that went right out the window,” he added.

With that being said, fans could still anticipate ”Better Call Saul” instead of having the name changed to “Breaking Bad.”

Schnauz continued, “I don’t think anything is predetermined. Even with ‘Breaking Bad’, we had a story that was set up from the beginning.”

“Mr Chips turns into Scarface. This show we have Jimmy McGill become Saul Goodman, which in some ways seems not as extreme of a journey, a different kind of journey,” he revealed.

He also stated that “Better Call Saul” Season 3 could go beyond ‘Breaking Bad.” No details were confirmed as to what else the audience could expect from the series, Den of Geek reported.

“Better Call Saul” Season 3 is scheduled to be released in February 2017 on AMC. A definite date would be announced later.
