The 90’s animated hit film “Beauty and the Beast” has been adapted into a live musical motion picture. This time, songs like “Be Our Guest” along with new musical pieces are set for Emma Watson’s March 17, 2017 premiere as Belle.
According to Christian Post, its iconic songs such as “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast” are included in the film adaptation. Meanwhile, composer Alan Menken has new songs listed for the movie.
“Days in the sun” is about the enchanted objects remembering their past lives, while “Forever” is about the Beast’s outlook on true love. The third song is still a work in progress and is kept a secret. The latter might be one of the movie’s greatest track since Menken is known for his highly acclaimed musical compositions.
While much has been revealed about its songs, nothing has been changed from its original story. The prince was cursed to become a hideous beast. He has to experience true love to regain his old self, but he isolated himself inside his kingdom. Hence, Belle will be the young woman who will appear in his life and later become his princess.
As for the production team, the musical-themed movie is directed by Bill Condon and is written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Stephen Chbosky.
Aside from Emma Watson, a power-house cast was announced. Actors Dan Stevens, Kevin Kline, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Sir Ian Mckellen and Stanley Tucci is set to be part of the highly anticipated movie.
While fans have been waiting for the movie’s latest updates, USA Today cited OK! Magazine about an “official” picture of Emma Watson in her Belle costume. Seems like OK! got excited about the film that they were not able to notice that the photo was just fan made. But that being revealed, the “Harry Potter” star still looks gorgeous on the photo.
