Fans of Emma Watson and the Disney Classic, “Beauty and the Beast”, will be delighted to learn that the first look of the movie has been revealed. At Disney’s D3 held on August 15, fans received a sneak-preview of Watson leaving her mark as the book-lover, Belle, on-screen.
As reported by MTV, the clip from the movie showed Belle gracefully walking down the stairs in her trademark yellow gown. Interestingly, much like her character in the movie, Watson is a self-confessed book lover.
As also pointed out by the post, this will not be the first time that fans will see Watson gracefully walking down the stairs in a ball gown. Harry Potter aficionados will remember the star walking down to a ball, looking glamorous in the fourth installment of the series.
Joining Watson will be Dan Stevens portraying The Beast, the villain Gaston is played by Luke Evans and Josh Gad has taken on the role of his sidekick. Other characters include Lumiere, the candlestick, played by Ewan McGregor; Emma Thompson is Mrs. Potts; and Ian McKellen as Cogsworth the clock.
The amazing cast doesn’t end there, as reported by MTV, the Disney musical has a new member in the form of Cadenza the grand piano. The character is voiced by Stanley Tucci.
The movie is directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky. The new music, piecing the entire movie together, is from Alan Menken and Sir Tim Rice.
As Hollywood Reporter shared, in a video message from the cast of the movie, Evans and Gad sang a few lines coming from the baddie, “Gaston.”
“Beauty and the Beast” starring Emma Watson, will be officially arriving in theatres on March 17, 2017
