‘Baywatch’ Alexandra Daddario New Photo Revealed; ‘GI Joe: Retaliation’ Star Joins Cast

Alexandra Daddario rose to fame playing Annabeth Chase in the “Percy Jackson” movies and is also known for appearing in Season 1 of “True Detective.” She was casted in the Baywatch movie last year which also stars her on-screen dad from “San Andreas,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Now, Johnson has taken to Instagram to post a new image of him and Daddario; the latter sporting a near-perfect beach figure.

“She takes [Baywatch] to another level … World fell in love with [Alexandra Daddario] in [San Andreas] and I was so impressed by her chops and presence every day, that I had to have her ‘rep the squad’ in our film. Just wait til you see her – and all our girls – kick ass and protect the bay,” wrote Johnson on Instagram. The full image can be seen here.

The new movie based on the famous ‘90s TV series of the same title starring Pamela Anderson, has also cast Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra, and Ilfenesh Hadera, among others. Deadline reports that two other actors, Jack Kesy and Amin Joseph have also been cast in the Paramount Pictures movie.

According to Movieweb, Alexandra Daddario joined the new “Baywatch” movie in November, signing on to play lifeguard Summer Quinn, a character which was originally played by Nicole Eggert in the famous Baywatch TV series.

The Rock plays Mitch Buchannon in the new film, a character that was made famous by David Hasselhoff, who will also appear in the film, albeit in a cameo role. He has been introducing his fellow cast members like Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera and Quantico star Priyanka Chopra by posing with them on Instagram. Chopra will play the villain Victoria Leeds in the film.

“Baywatch” marks the second time the bright blue-eyed actress will appear beside former WWE wrestler and “The Scorpion King” actor Dwayne Johnson. Daddario is also expected to re-team with Johnson for the “San Andreas” sequel which is reportedly being developed by Johnson and New Line Cinema.
