The latest trailer of “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” teased fans on what Superman may become.

CinemaBlend pointed out a scene that doesn’t make sense at first, until film’s costume designer Michael Wilkinson revealed the truth about it. The scene in question showed armed soldiers kneeling in the presence of the Man of Steel.

Wilkinson disclosed in an interview with Omellete that the epic scene is actually Bruce Wayne’s (Ben Affleck)nightmare. Apparently, it signifies the Dark Knight’s fear of what the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) can do to the world.  What he can become if he chooses to follow the dark path.

“(Director) Zack (Synder) had a great idea of this sort of nightmare-ish vision, almost a vision of the future, a post-apocalyptic vision,” said Wilkinson.

“In this film, Superman, of course he’s normally seen as a figure of hope, a positive thing, but in this film, his motivations, the consequences of his actions are really being questioned by the world. Is he a savior? Or is he a dangerous alien with unknown intentions?” he added.

Wilkinson said finding this out will become Bruce Wayne’s obsession and it will be manifested in a dream that Synder created.

The trailer also showed the Man of Steel intimating and pulling off Batman’s mask.

CinemaBlend pointed out that whether Superman is a man or a god, it looks like it will be the central point of conflict in the film.

Meanwhile, the new “Batman vs Superman” trailer also confirmed the appearance of super villain Doomsday, Movie Pilot noted.

The upcoming DC film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Batman’s butler/armorer Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White. Diane Lane will be Superman’s mom, Martha Kent and Holly Hunter is U.S. Senator Finch.

Gal Gadot will also be introduced in the movie as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Tao Okamoto as Lex Luthor’s bodyguard Mercy Graves.

“Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
