“Batman vs Superman” star Ben Affleck revealed that he got a very important advice from the actor who once played the same superhero he is now playing – Christian Bale.

According to Us Weekly, Affleck got the advice from Bale shortly after it was announced that he was to play the caped crusader in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

“I ran into him at a costume shop when we were both buying costumes for our kids and we talked,” Affleck told Us Weekly during the “Batman vs Superman” New York premiere at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday.

He revealed that Bale’s one piece of advice for him was: “Make sure they put a zipper in the suit!”

Bale, 42, previously admitted that he got jealous when he first learned that Affleck had been cast to play the Batman role.

Time magazine cited Empire magazine interview with Bale wherein he said: “I’ve got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, ‘Oh go on … Let’s do another. So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour.”

“But I’m 40. The fact that I’m jealous of someone else playing Batman … I think I should have gotten over it by now,” he added.

Bale played Bruce Wayne/Batman in 2008’s “The Dark Knight” and in “The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.

Meanwhile, Affleck received favorable reviews from some members of the audience during the premiere of its latest film.

The Telegraph UK wrote Affleck has been considered as their “favourite” Batman ever.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is set to hit theatres on Friday, March 25, 2016. The latest DC movies also starred Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

It was previously reported that the director’s cut of the upcoming superhero flick has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. The extended cut will have a Blu-ray release and will reportedly showcase more “sequences of violence.”
