“Batman vs Superman” star Ben Affleck seems to have bigger plans in his mind right now. Aside from wearing the cape and cowl, Affleck is also interested to stand behind the camera. Will he direct a superhero film soon?

USA Today asked if Affleck if he decided to play Gotham City’s Dark Knight so he could tell his own story someday. He mentioned that he was inspired by the movie’s director, Zack Snyder.

The actor admitted,

“I’ll just say going through the process, I would never have imagined that I could or would direct a movie like this. And in working with (“Batman v Superman” director Zack Snyder) and seeing what he did and watching him every day, I got really inspired by that and by seeing the scope on which he was telling the story, by seeing what he was able to do with this kind of mythic story on a grand scale.”

Affleck did not entirely give a “no” to directing that kind of film. Fans should just keep their fingers crossed. For now, fans will witness his directing skills in an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane’s “Live By Night,” USA Today noted.

In the previous year, rumours sparked that Ben Affleck might direct a solo movie in DC Extended Universe. Latino-Review earlier reported that Affleck was speculated to direct the first Batman solo movie. The actor, however, seems to be interested in the possibility.

Affleck revealed to Heroic Hollywood,

“Look, if I could make it work, yeah, obviously it would be a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you – if you’re going to direct it – that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it. Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea.”

Aside from “Batman vs Superman,” Affleck will appear in DC films “Suicide Squad” and two planned “Justice League” films.

Catch him as Bruce Wayne/Batman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in theatres on March 25.
