One of the most important bits that fans are eagerly waiting to see in “Batman V Superman,” besides the two superheroes going head to head, is Wonder Woman’s silver screen presence.
Gal Gadot has taken the mammoth task of portraying Diana Prince, a.k.a Wonder Woman, on the big screen. And from the teasers and leaks seen so far, she looks like she is definitely going to be kickass.
In a recent interview with Variety, Gadot shared her experience with taking on the role and how she dealt with bringing that authenticity to her character. She said,
“People might think you should play the superhero, but how do you play a superhero? At the end of the day, we’re all people. What’s so lovely about Wonder Woman is yes, she has the strength and power of a goddess, but she has the heart and mind of a human. So I play her as I think a woman like me would act in the situations she’s going through. You treat her as a normal woman who happens to be fantastic and almighty.”
As noted by CinemaBlend, Gadot in her role as Diana Prince may have had the “least screen time” among the three DC superheroes in the movie but she sure makes her part “incredibly engaging.”
When questioned by Variety about what Gadot loves the most about her character, she shared:
“Everything she stands for is something I can relate to. She’s very compassionate; she’s all about love and peace. She’s so strong and independent but sophisticated and with such emotional intelligence. She’s the perfect woman.”
What’s also interesting is the fact that Gadot who hails from Israel gets to keep her own accent for the movie. Since Wonder Woman isn’t American and comes from Themyscira island where many languages are spoken, this lends credibility to the story. Well, we sure can’t wait to see Gadot in her new avatar and of course, the superheroes Batman and Superman going head-to-head.
It isn’t long before you get to watch Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in “Batman V Superman;” the movie will be hitting the theatres this Friday.
