The star of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ben Affleck who played Bruce Wayne in the film shared the working title of his upcoming Batman movie, which he will star in, co-write and direct.
In the report made by E! News, Affleck is keeping the title short and simple, The Batman, for his upcoming solo movie. He did not choose to use lengthy titles this time unlike his previous film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
With the simple title given by Affleck described as boring by some, there is a chance that the title could still change while preparing for the movie until it hits theaters in 2018. For now, Affleck is going to stick with The Batman.
During Affleck’s interview with Entertainment Weekly on his upcoming thriller The Accountant, he shared details about his upcoming superhero movie and discussed the working title of his solo film.
“We’re working on the script,” Affleck told the Associated Press. “The script is going well. I’m really excited about it. And I assure you when there’s anything that develops, you’ll hear about it.”
There is no specific date yet for The Batman’s premiere but Affleck has cast Joe Manganiello as the villain Deathstroke. The movie is set for release on 2018 between the premiere dates of The Flash and Cyborg movie.
Meanwhile, before Affleck’s first solo movie, he will star in The Accountant which will hit theaters on November 4. This will be followed by Live By Night, in which he also starred in, wrote and directed. It will premiere on January 13 next year. Last will be the Justice League movie, which will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
