Sam Wood of “The Bachelor” Australia has admitted that he once had “a pash” for Aussie TV personality Tania Zaetta.
In an interview with Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa, the new Bachelor was asked a series of questions in a game called, “Sam would or Sam would not?”
“You’re about to go to dinner with the family but strangely you get a call from Tania Zaetta. She wants to go ice skating. Sam would or Sam would not?” Wippa asked.
The 34-year-old fitness entrepreneur from Melbourne dismissed the question, saying, “Sam would not”.
The radio hosts continued to pursue the topic, News.com.au wrote.
Wippa asked, “Have you had a relationship with Tania Zaetta before?”
“No I definitely haven’t had a relationship,” Sam replied.
“Are you doing a Blake Garvey and lying to us?” asked Wippa.
Eventually, Wood confessed and said “I might have had a little bit of a pash once upon a time … at a little bar in Melbourne.”
“You boys have really done your homework,” Australia’s most eligible bachelor added.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Who Magazine, Sam hinted that he already found The One on the show.
When asked about it, he said, “Yeah, possibly – I am confident. Once I know, I know and I’ll follow my heart to the end.”
He also admits there is “cynical stigma” about the show, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
However, Sam said it is understandable that people are skeptical about the show, especially after last year’s debacle with Blake Garvey who ditched fiancée Sam Frost for runner-up Louise Pillidge after the show’s finale.
“After last season there’s a obviously a very cynical stigma attached to The Bachelor,” says Wood. “I’m not on a crusade to [tackle] that stigma or anything like that, but all I hope is that people judge me for me.”
Season three of “The Bachelor” premieres on Channel 10 on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
