Former “The Bachelor” Australia contestant Heather Maltman may become the next “The Bachelorette.”

Heather was one of the frontrunners on the reality TV show until she was unexpectedly booted out of the mansion last week.

She admitted that she did not expect Sam Wood will send her packing that night because she and Wood had shared many romantic moments, Herald Sun wrote.

But Heather remains optimistic and opens to the idea of becoming the next “The Bachelorette.”

“I’m still getting over this experience and, if I haven’t found love by then, then it (The Bachelorette) might be something I’d look at. You never know what’s around the corner. Look at Sam Frost. After everything she went through she’s out there again,” she said.

Meanwhile, Heather has recently been spotted with comedian Ash Williams.

On Friday, she appeared on KIIS FM radio where she met Ash for the first time. The comedian/model gave her a rose, similar to those given out during the rose ceremony in “The Bachelor.”

Ash then confessed that he begged the bosses of KISS FM to allow him to come in because he knew Heather will be guesting.

“After watching The Bachelor last night I was thrilled that you got kicked off,” he said.

After the show, the pair was then seen talking outside the studio and later Ash walked Heather to her car, the Daily Mail reported.

Soon after, Ash retweeted the video of his meeting with Heather on his Twitter account. The ex-“The Bachelor” contestant, on the other hand, seems to have moved on from Sam Wood and also shared a special shot out to Ash on her Instagram account.

Watch “The Bachelor” Australia finale week episodes tonight and on Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel Ten. Three more ladies left – Lana Jeavons-Fellows, Snezana Markoski and Sarah Mackay – in the competition.

Meanwhile, the first “The Bachelorette” Australia featuring Sam Frost will premiere next week.
