One of Hollywood’s biggest names is joining the Marvel cinematic universe. Actress Sharon Stone herself confirmed the news. Which iconic role will she take on? And which of the studio’s next movies will the actress join in?
According to ComicBook.com, Stone recently confirmed that she is “doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming.” Will the actress join the next “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie? Or will she show up in “Avengers: Infinity War?”
The actress kept mostly mum about it when asked. “I can’t tell because, you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements,” she explained. However, the actress did relent a bit to hint that she will appear in “a yet-to-be-named movie” and that “her secret power is heat.” ComicBook.com suggested that she could be playing the Norse Fire Demon Surtur in “Thor.” She could also take on the roles of fire controlling mutants: Magma, Idie and Firestar. However, Marvel has yet to confirm the details of Stone’s cameo.
Meanwhile, the actress recently talked about Muhammad Ali, whose death is currently being mourned around the globe. She said she would not be the Sharon Stone the world knows today if the boxing legend had not seen her potential. “I met him when I was 17,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight. “I was in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and he was in Hershey, Pennsylvania when I was there and I met him… And then he called my father and offered me a part in his film that he was making.”
Stone’s father was not impressed at first. But Ali reportedly would not back down. “My father said, ‘She is not going to be in film.” He told my father, ”You may think that she is not, but she is. You cannot hide that girl under a bushel basket. Her light is too bright,'” she recalled.
