Marvel’s upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” may have another new villain.
According to Franchise Herald, Marvel is currently scouting for the perfect actor to play Adam Warlock, also known as Magus. Casting calls for the role are under way.
Spoiler TV said that aside from Titan Thanos, who will play as the main villain in “Avengers: Infinity War,” Magnus will also be introduced as his partner.
Auditions for the lead and supporting roles for the third “Avengers” movie are currently underway in Los Angeles, California.
Movie Pilot describes Magus as the evil side of Adam Warlock who also had an Infinity Stone on his forehead. Magus and Warlock started as the same character before Magus broke away from his body and built the Infinity Gauntlet.
“Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth’s heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil,” Spoiler TV added.
Movie Pilot, on the other hand, speculates that Ultron is not dead and will most likely return as Magus in “Avengers: Infinity War.”
At the end of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Ultron was seen talking to Vision who later uses the gem on his forehead to kill Ultron. However, Movie Pilot noted the scene it does not clearly show that Ultron died.
Meanwhile, Franchise Herald said there were also reports claiming “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt will be joining the Avengers for a crossover in both “Infinity War” part 1 and 2.
Speculations of his possible appearance on “Avengers 3” started when Pratt told GQ Magazine in an interview recently that his contract with Marvel includes two more “Guardians of the Galaxy” films and a couple other movies, which he did not name.
The “Avengers 3” is divided into two parts. The first part will be released on May 4, 2018 while part 2 will follow on May 3, 2019.
