Avatar 2 Release Date Delayed to January 2019?

Avatar 2 Release Date Delayed to January 2019?

The success of the Avatar movie has inspired a second chapter. It’s been reported that filming for Avatar 2 will start in 2017. However, the film is reported to feature even higher-end technology which can complicate things. Due to this, will the Avatar 2 release date be delayed to January 2019?

Avatar was released in 2009, and since then, the plans for Avatar 2 have constantly been delayed for some reason or another. Earlier, it was reported for a 2013 release, but it is not possible. Meanwhile, Stephen Lang has handed out some information that can boost the excitement of fans. According to him, the franchise has already decided to start the production work for Avatar 2 next year.

Lang will be reprising his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch, the antagonist from Avatar. There is no denying that the technology used in this James Cameron piece is pretty advanced and complex. Most of the scenes of Avatar 2 will be shot as motion capture against the green screen. Complicated, indeed!

In Lang’s words:

“Yeah, the reading of things. We’re getting there. We’re in good shape. We’ll be starting certainly early in the new year. But you know, the thing is, as you can imagine with a film like Avatar, it’s not like the work hasn’t been going on. The design, the production design, the various worlds, and creatures and environments, That’s all being worked on.”

The 64-year-old actor further revealed that James Cameron and his Avatar team have been working on the sequel since 2009 after the original opened. Perhaps it is the technological glitches that have been constantly pushing off the release date in the last six years.

James Cameron is a veteran filmmaker who has given us some of the best sci-fi series of  Hollywood like  Aliens, The Terminator, Solaris and the like, so it can be highly anticipated that Avatar 2 will be another masterpiece, and masterpieces take time. Although the movie is slated for a 2018 release, it might get delayed due to the high-end special effects used in it.

As of now, these are merely our speculations based on the Avatar series’ delayed schedule. According to Movie Web, Avatar 2 is coming in December 2018, Avatar 3 will arrive two years later in 2020, and then Avatar 4 and are arriving back-to-back in 2022 and 2023.

This is so poorly written it is baffling.

“We know it is a high-budget science fiction movie and the technology used for the film is pretty complicated. So it is possible that the flick will not get an early release date. Will Avatar 2 release date be delayed to January 2019?”

Did a moron write this? Will a moron go back to school in 2019? Barf.

I was thinking the exact same thing. And there is no actual reason stated as to why Avatar 2 might get pushed back from December 2018 to January 2019. The author is just speculating.

      This article is pure clickbait.

Take your time to do something fantastic and hasn’t been done yet James Cameron. Avatar 2 will become the biggest box office success worldwide, regardless. I really wish Avatar 2 has plenty more scenes with background depth to the point of distinguishing the leaves and plants from one and another and more pure jungle. Also I hope the motion is faster this time, but not so much since Pandora’s gravity is weaker so we understand why things appear to moving slow. Especially with all the scenes with Direhorses. I really can’t wait. I hope the next movie is even longer than the original.
