The highest grossing movie in history and one of the greatest animated flicks ever made is ready to set the world ablaze with its upcoming sequels.
The first sequel of “Avatar” will hit the screens on December 2017 as per IMDB. The most awaited movie is expected to be even better and grander than its prequel.
After the enormous success of the second highest grossing movie “Titanic” in 1997, director James Cameron took 12 years to come up with this blockbuster. Cameron has announced three sequels from 2017-2019 so as to carry the “Avatar” legacy to larger scales.
The new installment of the flick will have a Prison like theme which will include the epic Humans and Na’vi encounters depicted more dramatically. Christian Post notes that the sequel will feature Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine in her post-death “Avatar” as she was killed in the previous chapter of the movie.
The unique splendid world of Pandora will be even more awe-inspiring because the director is reportedly busy preparing a set that contains large oceans and new mesmerizing creatures for the imaginary planet. Cameron has focused on conveying the environment-friendly message as usual.
The director said in an interview with RTL “The primary conflict between the human view kind of dominating nature and the Na’vi view of being integrated into nature is the same, but it manifests itself in very different ways,” as reported by Christian post.
Jake Sully, the human transformed into Na’vi played by Sam Worthington, continues to be the lead character of the movie along with his lady love Neytiri played by Zoe Saldana, and some other characters from the previous movie like Stephen Lang who playsColonel Miles Quaritch.
The update that will break the hearts of a lot of fans is that the sequel will not have Latina Michelle Rodriguez as the hot and bold Trudy Chacon.
Michelle stated in one of her interviews at the Gabriela Cadena Fashion show on Monday, “They’re bringing back a lot of other characters. I know [Sigourney Weaver’s] coming back and the guy who played the bad guy, [Stephen Lang], is coming back,” Rodriguez said, notes New York Post.
“But yeah, I’m not gonna be in it.”
“Avatar 2” is expected to ho theaters on December 2017.
