Australia’s Got Talent” judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson dissed his own co-star Sophie Monk! Yes you read it right, but he did it in a joking way.
In an appearance on the “Today Show”, Dickson joked that Monk has “foot-in-mouth disease” and added the blonde beauty “says the wrong thing all the time” while on the judging panel.
The former record executive was asked by hosts Sylvia Jeffreys and David Campbell if the stars of “Australia’s Got Talent” get along. Dickson replied by describing each of his co-judges.
“Sophie Monk is obviously, she’s just gorgeous, but she has foot-in-mouth disease and says the wrong thing, all the time,” he said about Monk. He also described Dave Hughes as brilliant and added: “He’s got a real common touch with the contestants, puts an arm around their shoulder.” As for Kelly Osbourne and and Eddie Perfect, Dickson said: ‘Kelly Osbourne, she’s just outrageous and I worked with her mother and her father and she really is a chip off the old block. And Eddie is perfect, he’s just, well, all the yummy mummies will love him shall we say.”
Meanwhile, in the latest promo clip released by Channel Nine for the show, Monk was seen breaking down in tears following an emotional performance by a teen from the New South Wales central coast, the Daily Mail wrote.
Fletcher, 14, took to the stage with his guitar wrapped around his body as he dedicated a self-written song to his late 10-year-old brother.
“I am going to play a song that I have written for my brother. His name is Banjo and he passed away about three and a half months ago…he was 10-years-old and four years younger than me,” Fletcher told the judges.
The teen got a standing ovation from the judges. Sophie told Fletcher, “you are amazing…unbelievable,” while wiping tears from her face.
Does Fletcher got the “Gold Buzzer”? Don’t miss the premiere of “Australia’s Got Talent” on February 1 on Channel Nine and find out if she does.
