Ralph & Russo recently showcased their collection at Paris Fashion Week and literally stole the show. This London-based, Australian-born designer duo of Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo showcased their Spring 2016 collection in Paris and recruited the leggy Australian model Alexandra Agoston to walk the ramp in their creations. Agoston sported two different evening wear looks as she walked for the luxury fashion house.

According to Financial Times, Ralph & Russo’s entry into the Fashion’s elite the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture club has made them the first British label since Charles Worth to show on the official schedule.

DailyMail reports that Ralph & Russo is the first British-based fashion house to be invited to the Paris couture shows in a century. The label boasts of A-list clients including Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and others. The label had started small nine years back with a single sewing machine. However, today, it is based at a magnificent mid-19th century mansion in London and has a roster of around 700 paying designer clients.

Their collection consisted of beautiful ball gowns, lingerie-style clothes with trains and peplums. The showstopper was a wedding dress with long kimono sleeves and a three-metre train. The dress was worn by the Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana, who was assisted by the brand’s atelier staff to ensure that the gown’s train would be laid just-right on the catwalk, informs The Telegraph.

Ralph & Russo is founded by Tamara Ralph from Sydney and Michael Russo from Brisbane. Tamara Ralph currently heads the creative direction and Michael Russo is the company’s CEO.
