India have won the toss at the Sydney Cricket Ground and elected to bowl first against Australia.
Aussies are at it again. The country has already surpassed the 250-run mark in 40 overs losing five wickets. David Warners from played a gem of an innings scoring yet another ton. His 122 runs came in just 113-balls which was studded by 9-fours and 3-sixes.
Shaun Marsh has replaced the injured Glenn Maxwell. Mitchell Marsh has handled the middle order carefully to score a half century. Australia is now looking at a big total once again in the series.
Captain Steve Smith is hopeful about a series sweep. “We’ve played some very good one-day cricket so far this VB series. It’ll be a fitting finish to the summer if we can finish 5-0,” Smith said before the match.
It is still unclear why Indian Captain MS Dhoni chose not to play the ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the last match and that too on the Sydney Cricket Pitch, which helps assist spinners.
Aussies are looking to prolong its historic winning record to 19-wins. Australia is in prime form this season and it will be a tough ask for the Indian Batsmen to chase a mammoth total.
Mitchell Marsh is looking forward to his century as Australia are looking to set a target of 340.
