British mapmaker has developed a map of Australia to exhibit the rudest places across the nation.

Company Strumpshaw, Tincleton & Giggleswick, has followed the similar pattern in naming places as done by The United States and Britain. Tasmania, according to the founder of the company, Humphrey Butler, is quite high as far as colourful rudest, funniest and quirkiest names are concerned.

“There are hundreds and hundreds of Knobs all over Australia but there is one called Prominent Nob in South Australia and that does make us laugh,” he said.”One of the things that I think make the Aussie map is that there are quite a few places that sound really, really Australian. “There’s a place called Dinkum, there’s a place called Mate, there’s a place called Bruce as well.”

According to the reports, the idea of revealing the names of such places came to the founder when he left a corporate job opportunity in London and went on a road trip across the nation in an old car, which he described as “knackered.” Butler said that taking a road trip and looking at the map makes it easier to mark the name sounding funny.

Some of the rudest places named include “The Blad Knob”, “Hooker Park”, “Stuttering Dicks Creek”,  and “Scrubby Knob.” On the map, “The Buttes” is shown quite close to “The Nipples” while the distance is significant between “Grog Shop” and “Boozer Creek.”

Besides “Humpty Doo” in the Northern Territory, “Windy Saddle” in Victoria and “Lovely Bottom” in Tasmania, Butler also indicated other names on the map, including “Pimple”, “Pensioners Bush”, “Bullshit Hill”, “Titwobble Lane”, “PIsspot Creek”, “Peculiar Knob”, etc.

“There are a lot of Knobs in Australia,” the BBC quoted him as saying. “There are hundreds and hundreds of Knobs all over Australia but there is one called Prominent Nob in South Australia and that does make us laugh.”
