We are eagerly waiting for the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” feature-length motion picture, which is based on the award-winning series of the same name. The epic movie, produced by Michael Fassbender and Frank Marshall, will see Fassbender as “Aguilar”, a 15th century Spanish Assassin, and also as his present day descendant “Callum Lynch”.

IGN notes that there are new weaponry that will be used in 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft’s film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft franchise head Azaïzia Aymar has released three images of the new weaponry and looks nothing more than legendary.

Aymar took on the microblogging to post two sets of images on Twitter that showcase two swords in the movie. According to sources Aymar also hinted that Abstergo Industries will have a “Key Role” to play in the Movie Franchise.

“Those Abstergo guys just love Templars,” Aymar tweeted along with photos of two medieval swords. Abstergo Industries is a multinational corporate conglomerate and a front for modern day Templar activities in the Assassin’s Creed game.

We have seen Michael Fassbender’s costume in the first edition of the film and the latest posts on the behind the scenes images give us glimpses of the “Badass” Swords.

The Collider writes, “While one of the swords features a cross on the hilt, you’ll notice the other is sculpted into the bust of an elderly, bearded man.” Aymar says, “The elderly bearded man is Hugues de Payens. Born in France, he was a co-founder and the first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. He also co-wrote the Latin Rule, the Templar’s creed.”

The Assassin’s Creed movie is releasing on Dec. 21 in 2016 and has a star studded cast including Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson, Jeremy Irons, Michael K. Williams, and Ariane Labed.

We only hope that Aymar will release more behind the scene images of the movie. The wait is long and the expectations run high.
