Arsenal £30m Bid for Daniel Sturridge? Most Outrageous & Angry Fan Tweets Here!

Daniel Sturridge

Arsenal seems to be desperate to get a striker. They are rumoured to be competing against Manchester United to rope in ace Polish Striker Robert Lewandowski, and may extend their reach to Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.

If reports are to be believed, the Gunners are ready to bid $59 Million (£30million) for Sturridge this summer, who is struggling to stay at his current club. The relationship between Sturridge and Reds coach, Jurgen Klopp, has hit rock bottom according to some rumours.

According to the Mirror reports, coach Arsene Wenger knows that the club is in need of a good striker and has been vocal about his admiration for Sturridge. The 26-year-old young forward was instrumental in their 3-0  victory over Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final which catapulted them to the Cup finals.

The Mirror quotes, “Jurgen Klopp described his [Daniel Sturridge] performance in helping Liverpool to the final of the Europa League as ‘outstanding’ and labelled him ‘an unbelievable player’.”

“However, he has not always seemed as wildly enthusiastic, also leaving the England striker – who will be named in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad on Thursday – on the bench for both legs of the quarter-final win against Borussia Dortmund.”

Daniel Sturridge had previously commented that he had no friction with Klopp and was happy at Anfield. But he recently stated, “I am someone who wants to play every minute of every match so maybe when I’m not starting, it’s hard to take.”

The comments have fuelled more speculations on his departure.

But Arsenal fans are not very happy with the reports of Sturridge being touted as the club’s next striker. They took on the micro-blogging site, twitter, to vent their frustration. Clearly they didn’t seem to like the option.

Apparently the “injury prone” striker’s rumoured deal with the club has upset many.
