“Arrow” Season 4 might have decided to take a break after Laurel Lance’s death as the production could be in mourning for her recent passing. When it returns on April 27 for episode 19, fans will find out how everyone is coping with the loss.
Actor David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle on “Arrow,” spoke with Access Hollywood recently. The actor revealed that his character is about to handle the worst situation ever. Ramsey revealed that Diggle is on an “emotional tailspin.” He, along with the rest of the team, are experiencing “post-traumatic stress” because of Lance’s death. Moreover, the turmoil of his personal life concerning his brother and wife will reveal a completely different Diggle.
“You’re going to see a Diggle who has to deal with the gray and because of that, he is fractured and he is willing to do things that you never would have thought him to do,” Ramsey said.
The publication noted that Diggle’s relationship with Oliver Queen also suffered a blow. It recalled that Queen warned him about trusting his brother. His failure to heed that warning made it possible for Damien Darhk to regain his powers and use it to harm Laurel Lance.
Melty examined the trailer for “Arrow” episode 19 entitled “Canary Cry”. The preview showed the team’s grief over Laurel’s death but at the same time, viewers will instantly pick up the feeling of vengeance that Oliver and Diggle want to carry out. Both men want to go after Damien Darhk to avenge Laurel’s death.
ArrowVerse Wiki shared the synopsis for the upcoming episode.
“Oliver and the team struggle to come to terms with Laurel’s death, especially Diggle who is overwhelmed with guilt for choosing to believe Andy had changed. Meanwhile, Lance refuses to believe his daughter is really gone and asks Nyssa to help bring her back. A recent Black Canary sighting in Star City only seems to prove his theory that Laurel isn’t actually dead.”
The death of Katie Cassidy’s character Laurel Lance aka the Black Canary surprised many, including the actress. Despite the controversy, Cassidy understood why it had to happen. However, death on “Arrow” does not seem to be final especially if flashbacks could bring her back to life now and then.
