Ariana Grande definitely had many fall in love with her performance as the NBC’s Saturday Night Live host.
The songstress didn’t disappoint her fans and went on to impersonate a number of singers right from Britney Spears to Whitney Houston, as noted by Cinema Blend. The rib-tickling act once again proved what a wonderful performer the 22-year old star is, where she also showed us her mettle as a singer.
While fans were going crazy, one diva she impersonated was Celine Dion, who may have had an extreme reaction. As reported by People Magazine, when Grande went on the Elvis Duran and The Morning Show, she let slip details about the Titanic singer’s reaction. When questioned whether any celebrities were insulted, Grande said, “No, no, no!”
She shared, “When I met Celine, she told me, she was like, ‘When I saw you, I peed!'”
Well, this only makes the world look up to Celine since the statement clearly conveyed that she is very comfortable and secure in her own skin. And it always helps when the person impersonating you, does it with absolute perfection. To that, Grande admitted to not doing any homework before taking on the mic at SNL. She revealed, “No I’m just a big fan! I’m a really big fan.”
She added, “I think that’s why they don’t get mad because they know that I come from a place of love and I’m just like, ‘You’re f—ing amazing!'”
The pop star is currently gearing up for her album expected to debut on May 20. And her SNL act sure has only amped up the anticipation to the launch. The singer shared that her fans will get a load of fifteen songs on the album. This happens to be her third studio album and we are quite certain that fans are counting down to the D-day.
