New photos of Aquaman were shared online, offering a new look at Jason Momoa as King of Atlantis.
The photos were shared by ARGUS website via fan’s Twitter account. Apparently, the images were taken not on the Aquaman movie set, but in the filming of Justice League in Iceland.
The forthcoming DC movie will pick up from the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wherein the Man of Steel died. In the Justice League movie, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affeck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), to fight an even greater enemy. They will recruit a team of metahumans – Aquaman, The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) – to fight with them.
Momoa also shared a photo of him with Justice League director Zack Snyder by the beach. The picture was reportedly taken during the shooting of Aquaman scenes in Iceland for the JL movie.
Momoa and Synder had also shared on their social media accounts that the filming of Justice League wrapped up in London. The cast and crew are currently filming in Iceland.
Snyder previously teased another look of Momoa in his Aquaman’s armor. He shared on Twitter a behind-the-scenes photo of the actor in his Atlantean’s armor on set location of the DC movie.
Justice League will be in theaters on November 17, 2017.
As for the Aquaman movie, co-screenwriter Will Beall earlier revealed Arthur Curry will be a superhero in both sea and land. He said not all action scenes in the upcoming DC movie are happening in the ocean. Beall said some intense and fun ones will actually take place on solid ground.
Aquaman will also be facing villain Black Manta, who is a normal human being. Black Manta has no superpower. He, however, has abilities such as enhanced strength and endurance because of his battle suit.
