Warner Brothers Studios is rumored to cancel “Aquaman” because the script needs to be rewritten. What could be the real status of Jason Momoa’s first standalone superhero film?
Birth.Movies.Death reported that writers allegedly rehauled the story flow. However, neither the studio nor the production team is giving hints about the speculations and for that, readers could only treat this hearsay with an epic pinch of salt.
Previously, a report encircling the plot revealed that the upcoming superhero flick could be darker than “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” According to “Insidious” and “Saw” director James Wan, he might add a bit of “horror” to the motion picture.
“Look at the sensibility of my movies, from Furious 7 to the horror films. You can extract the kind of movie I might make of Aquaman,” quotes Movie Web. But then, he added that he will not forget to instill some comedic events on “Aquaman” to balance it up.
“And I think Aquaman is a character who has…You know, been made fun of a lot over the years, and I think it’s kind of fun to show a really different, cool, badass side to this character – but at the same time, let’s not forget to have fun with it,” Wan continued.
As for the King of Atlantis’ participation in another upcoming movie “Justice League,” Movie Pilot claimed that he will be the initial villain on the first part. The claim must be supported by another speculation that “Aquaman” will be fighting against “Wonder Woman.”
But as the news have gone further, some suggests that “Aquaman” could also be the missing link between “Suicide Squad” and “Batman vs. Superman.” Sources have it that the underwater superhero has a strong connection with Amanda Waller, as per Inverse.
Well, the possibilities are endless though but readers might need to wait for further confirmation.
