With just few hours to go before the year ends, LG Poland announced on their Facebook page that the unlocked LG G3 will be receiving the Android 6 Marshmallow update. With the latest OS being rolled-out in Poland, it means LG G3 users across the globe can soon expect to receive it and begin their New Year’s with quite a sweet start.
LG fans may be aware that the update in Poland was expected to be rolled out a couple of weeks earlier between 16th and 18th of December but the release was delayed, as noted by PhoneArena. LG had then announced that the “update is temporarily suspended.” Reports suggested that the company was facing technical issues and the roll-out was indefinitely pushed back.
LG G3 users can now rejoice since the update has been made available for the unlocked devices in Poland. After Poland, fans can expect a gradual roll-out to markets in Europe, Asia and US, as is the norm. LG G3 users simply have to just confirm the download as and when they get the notification for the Android 6 Marshmallow OTA update and the rest will be managed by the device.
While awaiting for the release of the latest OS, LG fans have also probably kept an eye out for any news on the upcoming flagship, the LG G5. Recent leaked image of what allegedly is the LG G5, as shared by GSM Arena, shows-off the rear panel of the handset which features a dual-camera arrangement. The handset boasts of an 8MP camera as well as an 16MP snapper on its back.
The rumored spec sheet reveals that the device will sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with SD820 SoC and 3GB RAM. It will also have the ability to quickly unlock the handset as the power button is expected to feature the fingerprint sensor. An 8MP secondary camera is also speculated to be onboard for clicking those beautiful selfies.
LG fans can keep coming back for more updates on the gradual Android 6 Marshmallow roll-out for the devices.
