Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have welcomed their first child together! Keri Russell gave birth last week, just five months after news of her pregnancy broke. “The Americans” co-stars are officially co-parents to their new baby.

“Keri and Matt both look overjoyed and are over the moon to be new parents,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are always snapping pictures of the baby, and family and friends have been sending gifts.”

This is the first child for 41-year-old actor and the third for Keri Russell, who is already mom to son 8-year-old River, and daughter 4-year-old Willa with ex-husband Shane Deary.

In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys were spotted with the new bundle of joy in New York City on Monday. The 40-year-old actress lovingly cradled her new baby after giving birth last week and the two new parents were dressed comfortably for their casual outing.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star as undercover KGB agents on the hit FX series The Americans. After months of rumors about a relationship between the actors, the couple took their romance public in April 2014. However, they do not talk about their relationship to the media.

E! News reports that Keri Rusell opened up to Parade about the changes in her life after being a mother. “You instantly become less selfish. You can’t be the biggest person in the world anymore—they are. It really grounds you,” she said. “I like working hard, but my life outside of my career is equally important to me. Maybe I’m not ambitious enough, but I’m just as interested in my friends and my relationship with my family.”

The Americans has not yet been renewed for season 5, so Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have some time to themselves before they’ll likely have to start filming again.
