American Horror Story Season 6 is not too far away, and filming for the much-awaited series is underway.
Actor Evan Peters revealed that filming for American Horror Story Season 6 will begin on June 7. Here’s every important thing we know so far about the upcoming season of the American Horror Story series.
Show adapts space theme?
The American Horror Story cast and crew have been mum about the concept for the sixth outing. There are rumblings that it would feature a story relating to children and would take place in an orphanage or a boarding school.
However, Peters has a creepier concept that would take horror anthology to new heights—literally!
“I really want to do space. Like a space station – like a contained space station. I don’t know if it would be on Mars or the Moon or what but I think that would be amazing,” Peters told Vulture.
He continued, “I keep pitching that it should be in space because I think the contained thing in space is really scary! It’s not as sexy as some of these past seasons, but space is very intense, and there are a lot of things can go wrong.”
Bradley Cooper joins the series?
Cooper is one of the biggest names recently attached to American Horror Story Season 6. It all started when he was spotted having dinner with Lady Gaga for the first time in Los Angeles. Their public rendezvous was very unusual, considering that both stars were not involved in any previous projects together.
A source told Us Magazine that Cooper and Gaga “might be working on a project together.” It is reported that Cooper is in talks for a role in the sixth season, in which Gaga is confirmed to take the lead role in place of former AHS frontrunner, Jessica Lange.
This wouldn’t be the first time the show bills a top Hollywood star to join the ensemble. Aside from Lange, Kathy Bates, Chloë Sevigny, and Neil Patrick Harris also appeared in previous American Horror Story episodes.
Season 6 deals with two storylines?
For the first time in the series’ history, it may try to hit two birds with one stone. Many believe that season 6 may explore two storylines after American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy revealed to TV Line that two concepts are currently being developed for the upcoming American Horror Story episodes.
“The interesting thing about this season is we’ve been working on two ideas at once, which we’ve never done. So I don’t want to say what it maybe is,” revealed Murphy. Both plots are said to have “a different form.”
Casting: Who’s in, who’s out?
So far, the only cast members confirmed to return are Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Dennis O’Hare.
Murphy also revealed that Kathy Bates, Matt Bomber, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson have been invited to join American Horror Story Season 6, but nothing has been finalized yet.
Wittrock, however, revealed that the sixth season will have a “smaller cast,” with some of the show’s previous cast members not returning.
