Fans of American Horror Story Season 6 just need to wait a few more hours before this season kicks off.

The theme of American Horror Story Season 6 will be finally revealed on Wednesday (Sept 14).   Season 6’s theme remains the most guarded secret of the show.  Aside from a hint courtesy of showrunner Ryan Murphy that Season 6 is about innocent children, details for the upcoming season remain scarce. Murphy had also mentioned that the FX miniseries might have two themes, too.

Thus far, FX has dropped 25 trailers that offer hints of the Season 6 theme. FX president John Landgraf earlier said they are going to release several teasers but all are misdirects except for one.

During the recent Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Murphy said Season 6 will not be like any other horror series viewers have seen. “We’re playing with a different form, so it’s not like any ‘Horror’ season you’ve ever seen. It’s very, very radically different — the narrative structure of what we’re doing,” he said.

Several cast members from previous seasons are set to return in the sixth installment. AHS Hotel star Lady Gaga is coming back.  Many believe that the latest teaser, titled Illusion, hinted at the singer’s role in Season 6. Gaga’s new single Perfect Illusion has been included in the latest preview.

Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Denis O’Hare and Kathy Bates will all be coming back as well. Actress Emma Roberts has previously hinted that she might appear in Season 6. One new addition this season is Cuba Gooding Jr.

American American Horror Story Season 6 will premiere on Wednesday (Sept. 14) at 10 P.M. ET.
