Fans are very anxious to know what will happen once American Horror Story season 6 returns to the small screens. Not a lot has been said about the upcoming run, but several speculations have already started to circulate online.

As for the show’s cast, only Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, and Sarah Paulson’s return have been confirmed as of writing as reported by Inquistr. The site continued to say that “Bassett previously said that her character will somehow be controlled by Sarah Paulson’s character, who is definitely coming back for another year.”

As for actor Finn Wittrock, his character’s fate in the show remains to be determined. However, the actor has expressed his intent of reprising his role in the next season.“There’s a little film stuff happening so it might be tough schedule wise, but yeah, I definitely want to do it,” he shared. Wittrock, who has been part of AHS for two seasons now, also revealed that the upcoming run could have a smaller cast.  He explained that there is a fair chance that some actors will be given multiple roles to play just like how he did in the previous season.

Apart from the smaller cast and simpler storylines, fans would be excited to know that “American Horror Story” season 6 will be used to address some unanswered questions from the previous seasons. “Ryan Murphy has said that all American Horror Story seasons are connected,” Inquistr noted. “It is possible that Season 6 will spend time answering a few questions left open from previous seasons. Fans may find out where Kit went at the end of Season 2, for example.”

Meanwhile, talks about another AHS season premiering this year have started to generate a lot of buzz online. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy shared that they have been pitching ideas for two 2016 runs. “Next year, we might do a fall ‘American Horror Story’ and a spring,” he said. “We’re doing something that we’ve never done before on the show where we’re doing two different groups of writers rooms.”

He also added that “Some of our writers will be bouncing around but a whole different group coming in late August,” he continued. “The next thing we’re crafting up is very, very different than this. Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.”
